IDPRO establishment<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

The last few years Indonesia data center industry grew rapidly with 2 digit growth percentage. Along with the number of internet users continues to increase, the need for quality data center in Indonesia also increased.<\/p>\n

Responding to this issue, a group of data center provider\u00a0and academia in Indonesia inaugurated the establishment of the association of\u00a0the data center Indonesia, Wednesday (22.06.16), at Menara Prima, Mega Kuningan.<\/p>\n

Association with other names Indonesia Data Center Provider Organization (IDPRO)<\/strong> was established by the DCI, Elitery<\/strong><\/span>, GTN, NTT Indonesia Nexcenter, Telkomsigma and XL Axiata, and supported by the Center for Research and Technology of the University of Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The establishment\u00a0of this\u00a0data center<\/a> association also aims to realize a digital nation, as has been declared\u00a0by the President Joko Widodo.<\/p>\n

IDPRO<\/strong> formed to collect and coordinate all the potential that exists in the data center industry in this country in order to encourage the advancement of information and technology in Indonesia. IDPRO<\/strong> also react\u00a0to support government programs related to this industry, especially within the scope of the implementation of the Government Regulation (PP) no. 82 in 2012.<\/p>\n

Chairman of IDPRO<\/strong>, Kalamullah Ramli, said “the PP number 82 of 2012 has given way to the data center industry to grow more rapidly. Even so, there is still much work to be done”.<\/p>\n

The founders of the Association of Data Center Indonesia (IDPRO) are\u00a0Alvin Siagian from\u00a0NTT Communications, Richard Kartawijaya from\u00a0GTN Data Center, Prof DR Kalamullah Romli ffrom\u00a0the Research Center of Science and Telecommunications – University of Indonesia, Andrew Th from\u00a0Telkomsigma Data Center, and Djarot Subiantoro from\u00a0DCI Indonesia, Rafael Jeffry A. Sani from\u00a0XL Axiata and Hendra Suryakusuma from\u00a0Elitery Data Center and Managed IT Servies have\u00a0signed\u00a0IDPRO. IDPRO formed to collect and coordinate all the potential in the data center industry in Indonesia as well as encouraging the progress of government programs within the scope of Government Regulation PP 82 in 2012<\/strong> \u00a0implementation.<\/p>\n

IDPRO expected to contribute developing\u00a0industrial potential of Data Center Indonesia. The development of targeted include drafting technology systems to standardize data center Indonesia as well as the certification<\/a><\/span> of the professionals involved in it.<\/p>\n

This is one reason why IDPRO formed. Through this association, the Data Center professional\u00a0people in Indonesia can be mutually supportive of one another, also facilitate coordination, both with government, investors, or with fellow Data Center Provider, “said Kalamullah chief of IDPRO during the inauguration in Jakarta, Wednesday (22\/6).<\/p>\n

In addition to being a medium for providing quality service, IDPRO expected to support the creation of Data Center management business opportunities, through the provision of facilities and supported services like Elitery Managed IT Services<\/strong><\/a><\/span> which is already stand\u00a0to response this issue.<\/p>\n
